"Journalism is the first rough draft of history."-Philip L. Graham, co-owner of the Washington Post
The month before I graduated from UNC, the entire team for Bear News focused on a semester long issue that was affecting multiple departments across the university.
On Feb. 15th, Bear News had UNC President Andy Feinstein join us for a one-on-one interview portion. I produced the show by picking the anchor, writing questions and getting our technology ready.
Robin Gross, our bear news music reporter, rated a playlist I made online. I volunteered to be the first roast on our broadcast.
This package was written, shot and produced by me. It follows a family who visits the Michener Library at UNC and their thoughts on a recent art exhibit made by students.
In the spring, UNC hosted a gallery during women's history month that was dedicated to local Colorado artists that identified as women. I created an entire package of the event.
During Black History Month, I wanted to challenge myself to talk about aspects on black culture that didn't deal with racism, injustice or the retelling of history. To still bring up Black History Month, I instead focused on entertainment pieces made by black creators.
